Surrealism

Onto the topic of surrealism, its definitely one of my favorite photographic techniques. While we were researching and doing the execution stage of the Fashion Communication & Promotion stages, I was given an issue from Vogue from 2010 & I had to focus on the star signs photo shoot by Tim Gutt. This photo shoot was amazing all the star signs were portrayed completely different but then completely obvious to what they were. Just by looking completely surreal.

David LaChapelle i one of my favourite surrealist photographers, creating the most amazing set designs by just using a shoe box. There's basically o other word for his pieces other than absolutely surreal & creativity.

Surrealism is all about making something look like its not, a complete play around with imagination & creativity. Surrealism is all about creating the impossible. I absolutely love this picture to the left, its simply the best example of turning something into something its not, such a fantasy. Guy Bourdin is another example of a surrealist who i absolutely love. This topic is definitely my inspiration for most of my work an ideas, I like the idea of creating something that doesn't fully exist.
