In the early hours of Monday the 9th of January, we departed Nottingham & started our first leg of the journey to NYC! The travelling these was the most fun ever, we were all so excited, to be let free in the big apple. The only thing that was on our minds for hours was food, so you can already guess what we did once we arrived in Heathrow.
The time went by all very fast, & we were up in the air in no time. We arrived in JFK at around 3pm (USA time) and arrived in our hotel at approx 5pm. We knew it was going to be chilly, but heck yah it was the coldest weather ever (like way colder than Ireland ever had been) The weather didn't effect our first evening in the city of dreams though. As soon as we were assigned our rooms we were up and out to see what the city had in store for us.
Aaaand straight to Sephora we went, it was absolutely full of dreams, & right in the heart of Times Square too. We didn't get back to the hotel until late, because being in Times Square with the lit up buildings absolutely EVERYWHERE, we lost track of time, you'd literally think it was mid-day, everything was so bright.
Literally thought i was in a movie, absolutely everything was soooo surreal, (p.s im more than likely going to use the word surreal a lot when im talking about New York, cause,um, yah the whole trip was so SURREAL!!)
Our first full day we decided to hit up 5th Avenue, to really see what the eal was, and oh my what a deal indeed! Literally every shop that you could imagine & obviously more absolutely amazing ones you didn't even know existed.
The most exciting shop that we hit was world famous, Saks. ... Lets just say, let me marry a millionaire so I can literally live in there!! Like wow. I've never seen so many expensive pieces under one roof.

It looked so obvious that we were tourists, we really didn't look decent enough to be in there at all, so safe to say the sales assistants wern't giving us too much attention, or actually any attention at all!! But we still got in, got to see what we wanted to see, & of course get some pictures of the snazzy designer pieces. The Ellie Saab department, was absolutely amazing, like who even thought of laying a mann
equin down on a table? Cause I've absolutely never seen that one before. But then again it definitely wouldn't work in like likes of Primark. Easy enough to believe but we did in fact spend a whole day roaming up and down 5th Avenue.
The next destination to tick off the Bucket List was Central Park, and may i say it again, .. SURREAL. Such pretty weather we say it too, frosty & the lake was absolutely frozen over. And obviously, while in Central Park, one must visit the Boat House. Just like the movies, so many pictures & memories to prove it too.
Over all my trip Stateside was absolutely amazing & i cannot wait to trace my tracks back to that wonderful city.
