During my most amazing New York, we took a trip to the Fashion Institute of Technology. (Which is an absolutely amazing place by the way)
The exhibition was free which was a total bonus & we were even allowed to take photos of the pictures. The exhibition explored the experiences of several generations of African fashion designers from the 1950's to the present. As soon as we walked into the exhibition hall I as absolutely amazed, the colour, the detail & the overall amount of people actually attending the exhibition. The piece above is the one you see when you first walk into the room, & definitely my favourite out of all the pieces.
In the exhibition gall there were so many amazing pieces, including a piece worn by Michelle Obama, & even Kim Kardashian. A designer which I never even thought about, Olivier Rousteing, creator director of Balmain. Absolutely amazing to see some of his fabulous designs there, and to be so close to them too.

The piece to my right is another of of my favourites, just so cultural, bright & creative. The detailing in all the clothes were absolutely amazing.
The exhibition is definitely worth a visit if your in the area & after all it is open and available till the 16th May.
