So yesterday marked our last presentation of first year. If you don't know me by now, I absolutely hate presentations, but once their done I just want to do them over & over again.
Anyways this was a very long brief, it started way back in January & it finishes for good on the 1st June.
There have been so many exciting opportunities including getting many exciting guest lecturers, and we even organised our own independant research trip to London, as I wrote in a post a few months ago.
We have developed so much as a team, we went from having absolutely no ideas, to then having three strong ideas, to then having 12 ideas & then having one to pick and develop into a brand. It was such an exciting process, but was so quick!
It was very exciting for me as it was actually one of my ideas which we picked to carry forward.
I took my inspiration from a sensored beer tap, (random I know)
so I thought to carry it forward and link it in with the fragrance market, at first my idea was to have a censored structure which would be sold to the likes of John Lewis, sort of like a Nespresso machine but for perfume.
Which then led us to create our very own brand PerfPod.
PerfPod is an Eco friendly, absolutely no waste fragrance brand for young creatives on the go! Fragrances are presented in Little pods which decompose completely. The pods are then put into a little Atomiser where approx 4 pods fit at a time.

It was quite an exciting project as we got to create mock-ups of the media channels which we were going to use, to the left is a billboard on a bus shelter. We have used a bus shelter because our consumer is constantly on the go, she commutes to central London every single day.
From going to having a million idea to creating your very own one is so exciting and it all feels very real. The next part of the project seems quite scary, all the team members are now left to themselves to create a 12 month Promotional Plan.
From working as a part of a team for so long it's going to be quite hard to branch out on our own.
But we're one step closer to finishing first year.
So far I've learned so many new techniques in my course its very exciting, the year has already gone so fast. In October, May felt like ages ago, now we're here and I cannot believe it. It's going to be so strange to be back home during the summer.
Again this post was more so a diary of my progression of my course, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I liked giving the little details,
Much love,
G x
