Summer 2017 Plans

As Summer is coming our way, & with absolutely nothing planned. I'm going to plan out a few easy things to complete this summer.
Number one on the list is to definitely go home & to be reunited with all my friends and family again. A reunion and a yummy home cooked meal is definitely much needed. I haven't seen most of my friends since Christmas so it will be good to catch up.
Theres nothing quite like a good catch-up.
Most importantly I want to spend the Sumer wisely & catch as much fashion industry experience as possible. A few years ago I helped out a stylist on a leading Irish fashion programme, so I think I might make myself noticeable to her again. I've applied to a few retail jobs but I would much rather getting physical experience rather than retail. Considering that I'm interested in the likes of trend forecasting & styling. I now have an interest in the likes of magazine layouts, after working on so many inDesign projects & taking inspiration from so many fashion magazines.
I was once given advice from a leading Irish stylist, Courtney Smith, who said if you want internships or any bit of experience at all you its have to get yourself out there & keep messaging & annoying people. And thats certainly what I've done. But everyone in the industry understands & I'm already learning that everyone works together.
So hopefully I'll find just what I need.
A place very close to my heart is Galway. Galway is where I lived & studied my foundation course for a year & I loved every moment of it. I have a few friends living there for the summer so I'll be sure to visit really soon. I also haven't been there since Ed Sheeran released his song, Galway Girl. So I'm sure theres much hype over the situation.

In late July/beginning of August I will then be travelling the the west of Ireland with my family for a short break by the sea.
Currently I'm organising a sun break away with my best friends at the end of summer which I'm really looking forward to.
In the first weekend of September I'm going to be attending Electric Picnic which is one of irelands biggest outdoor festivals, with top popular acts playing such as The XX & lots more.

I'm already looking forward to my 2nd year studying in Trent already. We were given a lecture with everything included in 2nd year & it's very exciting.
As my blog is to document my journey throughout first year of Trent, I'm still looking forward to continue with it & add in my own twist.
Much love,
G x
