One third of the way finished being a fresher

So Thursday marks the day that I finish first ear, it's dragging out so much, considering everyone at home finished up with exams & everything at the start of May, here I am rocking up a month later.

I've three parts of a really intense project to hand in for Thursday, the 1st June. It includes a printed promotional plan which is for the brand which we created, PerfPod. I completed mine & got it printed last Thursday, which I was so happy with considering it was such a long process to do aspects on Photoshop & inDesign. So getting it printed exactly a month early was absolutely brilliant, click here, to see the PDF version of my booklet.

It's quite exciting to actually hold the finished product, but now rushing to complete my sketchbook & then of course documenting the whole process on here too.

As shown up top, is the front cover, it's the part of the project that nearly took me the most time, it was so time consuming I did a mock up version on a word document first which I was quite happy with, but then it didn't have the logo on, & it generally just wasn't fitting with the whole theme of the booklet. It's still all the same idea, but thank god I spent the time getting the final look. The same theme had to run through the whole booklet, so I went with a pink aesthetic, with spheres & circles which could fit anywhere.

Another task which was quite hard to get across was the choice on fonts to use for the booklet, it's very important not to use too many fonts and also to use ones which match together quite well.

I chose 'Letter Gothic', in medium & Avenir. I also used Helvetica thin for my main cover. It's the font which we used for the text on our advertisement, which is the same, or maybe just similar to the font which Apple use for all of their advertisements. It's simple but makes a statement.

I still have to update my sketchbook & also keep my blog updated. Hopefully I'm doing a pretty good job.

It's the one project so far that I'm so on top of, which is great. Definitely managing this one better with time, feels so much better and I'm way less stressed. It makes me wonder why I used to get so stressed for our first few projects, hopefully I get a good grade to show off the work.
